Deakin/Monash/Melbourne for Law

Ive recently graduated VCE and want to pursue a career in law. My top preferences were for Law/Arts at Monash, just law at Monash, L/A at Deakin etc. I ended up getting a 92.60 ATAR, so I didn't get into Monash. I got the offer from Deakin, but I'm wondering about my other options, like if I should do Arts at Monash instead, seeing as I cant get into law at the moment.

Realistically, I don't really want to do an Arts degree by itself, however I want to make sure that I'm choosing the best uni for the future, seeing as I want to be a lawyer, and have heard that many employers favour Melb/Monash students. At the same time, I know that Deakin is just a step below M and M, but some people are biased. I don't have too much interest in Melbourne, as the fact that I cant do Law as an undergraduate (and then would have to do an Arts degree) is annoying, and I know that lots of students are miserable there.

An issue for Monash for me is the location, Clayton is about an hour from home for me, and I wouldn't want to travel all that way just to do Arts. Im also a bit confused about offer rounds, as Deakin was my third preference, do they now consider every course higher or just my top preference? I didn't get an offer from Monash in the January 10th round, so wondering what to do now. Either way, I've added just Arts for Monash to the list and have moved the Deakin offer down.

Asking for any advice as to where to go from here would be appreciated!
