For those who does crypto trading, how do you minimize your transfer fees

I just started building my portfolio this year, and being new to crypto trading, i noticed fees can eat up your profit very fast, every transaction is -2% here, -2% there, boom RM100 gone to fees. I use luno to invest majority of my portfolio, but im looking to invest in a couple midcap coins in small portions each, so i probably have to use DEX for this.

So, any cost saving tips for newbies, and also what dex do you use to trade mid to small cap coins?
