Jock & nerd/black cat & golden retriever/queer awakening

Okay I’m hoping this request is specific enough because I have MANY specifications 😅

I just read {Just a Taste by Briar Prescott} for probably the 5th time and I am dyyyying for more books with the same vibes.

• I want a jock/nerd dynamic, but they don’t have to be exactly those tropes, just along the same vein (sporty vs studious, gymbro vs executive etc). • I’d prefer for them to be similarly sized, ie the ‘nerd’ is still somewhat built and can hold his own/throw the jock around a bit. • I want one of the MCs to be a queer awakening, but I’m okay with both. • I want one of the MCs to be a bit snarky/closed off and the other a bit of a golden retriever (again this dynamic doesn’t have to be exaggerated, just subtle hints is fine)

Things that I’d prefer but that aren’t deal breakers: • I’d prefer if the ‘queer awakened’ MC does the pursuing. • I’d also prefer no strict top/bottom roles but it’s not a deal breaker. • I love when MCs have a teasing banter kind of relationship (Shane and Ilya vibes, ya know?) • Enemies to lovers is okay but I’d prefer if one of them already had a soft spot for the other. I’d prefer for them not to hate each others guts. But again if you have an ETL rec that fits everything else I’m open to it!

I also want a bit of angst and heartache in there. Preferably no miscommunication but I’m not against it if it’s written well. No closed door romances, poly or mpreg, please and thank you!!

Just a quick note to say I was led here by my undying love for Shane and Ilya (which I think was many peoples MM gateway. Shane and Ilya 4eva) and I just adore this sub. I have found so so many of my absolute favourite books through here and I’m so grateful to all of you ❤️
