How to Insure on PC?

I am a new player (about 12 hours playtime) and I keep being screamed at by the game to insure my items but I don't get the option to. I've looked up videos online and found videos that are on the PC version of the game that do have insurance screens but no matter what I do I literally can't insure my items, Is there something I'm missing?
