Lost KCPE Certificate and Struggling with Replacement
Hey everyone,
I'm supposed to start my new job this month, but I've run into a snag. I've just discovered that I've lost my original KCPE certificate, which is one of the requirements for my new job. I applied for a replacement back in December last year, but so far, I've got nothing. They want 5,000 KES for it, and I'm fine with paying, but the process is taking much longer than I expected.
I've been to Mtihani House in South C four times already, and each time, I've left empty-handed. One nice lady there advised me to apply for a confirmation letter instead, which costs 2,000 KES. I've gone ahead and applied for that, but I'm not sure if my employer will accept it in place of the original certificate.
Something else that's bothering me: while I was waiting there, I noticed a lot of Somali kids going into a certain room where they were sorted out quickly. I saw around 10 kids going in and out. I have no idea what's going on with that.
