Do you consider Katniss empathetic?

I do. I have seen some say a lack of empathy is one of her flaws but I really disagree and think she is extremely empathetic especially when she consider the trauma she is gong through. I think it is because it took her some time to forgive her mother but Katniss was so hurt as a young girl which is why she put her walls up. She had to become responsible for her family overnight. She does takes steps later to empathise and repair her relationship with her mother.
