Do you think the boys are quite mean to Hermione in the books?

Sometimes they are but also there is a lot of growth and development in their friendship with her and there are many moments of them being nice as well. The trio have a very strong friendship but conflicts and annoyances are very realistic and it doesn't diminish the strength of their friendship
