straightened damp hair

so i straightened my damp hair a couple of hours ago i did it for abt 30-40 minutes before blowdrying it and straightening it again. im really worried about breakage i can see some frizziness and stuff and idk if its breakage from the straightener or not. is there anyway how to fix breakage? while i did it i also had heat protection spray on so i hope it wouldnt get too damaged. will it have gotten damaged from just one time or no?
