What's a trope you hate seeing in modern re-tellings of myths?

SPOILERS FOR KAOS

For me it's when they make characters who are supposed to be a set-in-stone/loyal couple adulterous or just not love eachother. In Kaos why did they have to make Eurydice not love Orpheus anymore? Then there's Hera who cheats on Zeus with his own brother.

Another trope I find weird is "Get two people from very separate myths and make them have a connections" like Glaucus and The Minotaur? I was really hoping to see Asterion himself.

Then there's the typical sugar coating of a myth that withstood time because of how dark and scary it was being sugar coated. Seriously Persephone being allergic to pomegranates?
