blairs superiority complex in gossip girl

this is gonna be a rant lmao. i see gg fans criticise serenas character and suggest that she was morally wrong in the show, while blair wasn't. however i feel like blair deserved everything that went wrong for her in the show, for instance how her mother chose serena the modelling and how she was mostly living in serenas shadow. imo i think all that was a reality check for blair. she isn't as special as she thinks she is. from the beginning of the show, we get to see how she's always acting superior to everyone around her and she HAS to be the center of attention. and her other "friends" always being submissive to her and followed her everywhere she went. that was how she was used to being treated. and not to mention in the scene in ep 1 when blair is yelling at serena for taking her "spotlight" was so unfair. serena never wanted to model, she was actually super happy for blair and i don't even think she wanted to take this spot from blair. and blair wasn't even interested in modelling so its understandable why serena was okay with listening to her mother and she didn't think that she was stealing her spotlight since blair wasn't into it anyway. on top of that it wasn't her fault that the modelling agency found serena more capable than blair. how was it her fault lmao? same with basically everything else. serena is just the way she is. she isn't a tryhard. when serena had plans with dan blair got mad at serena when she literally did cancel her plans before with dan BECAUSE of blair. that is another big example of how blair wants the world to revolve around her. blair felt like serena was above her and she was the only one who could make her insecure. serena sleeping with nate though while blair and nate were together was really wrong which makes serena and blair are both morally grey. but people like to sympathize with blair. i see many people justifying blairs behaviour and people like to point fingers at serena how "she isn't that beautiful" etc. serena was fairly nice to people around her and didn't treat them so poorly. in intial episodes blair enjoys making 14 yo jenny do unethical things and manipulates her. blair has superiority complex and thinks she's better than everyone else and always has to be in the spotlight. serena breaks that cycle so she is automatically villainized for it. blair lacks empathy for people around her and only thinks about herself. so my point is serena overshadowing her was actually for her own good to realize how she's not superior to anyone. blairs shown to be a mean girl while serena isn't.
