Devastated

I am very very devastated. Cried alot today.

I have a bathtub setup, I had cleaned the tub, and changed the water. (Bit by bit, keeping a bunch of the original water) I have a bio filter. I was treating for green water, when a really warm day resulting in not enough oxygen (overnight, solar aerator) and a tub of 21 fantail fish turned into 5.

Immediately put the survivors in a bucket with a solar aerator, and went to a local aquarium specialist shop, got an aerator/fountain that plugs in, but just. I've got the sads. The guy at the shop though. He was the best. I think he understood. I saw him, he looked frazzled, I asked him if he was okay, and he just said, I've dealt with too many awful customers today. He joked I hope you're not a shit customer, and I said I was the worst and immediately burst into tears. He immediately helped me. I should have asked but I hugged him. He was the best. He even threw in extra things for free.

I did say to him, I know they're just fish.... but man I really love them.

My husband doesn't really understand. "They're just fish. You can't hug them". But evertime I came home and they saw me out of the corner of their eye, they'd come swimming. I just really loved them.

Anyway. Just needed to put my feelings somewhere. Please blow kisses to your fishies for me. Xx
