Anyone else having issues discovering Latino ancestry?

I used ancestry.com for the first time and wasn’t able to discover much that I didn’t already know about my family. I’m American born with a Cuban born father and Venezuelan born mother and I feel like that could be why ancestry doesn’t have any of their records? Does anyone by chance know how I could find those records?
