Bringing toddler to the gym?

I just read some other Reddit posts about this but they were all posted in r/childfree with unironically likeminded people, so I’m curious if there are any other perspectives.

I moved into an apartment complex a few months ago that has a gym with a kid’s room attached to it. The kid’s room is literally inside the gym.

I’m a single mom and I’d really like to lock in on working out this year. I can’t afford home equipment. I’m just nervous about bothering other people, especially after reading posts about how annoying it is to them to see children in the gym.

I’m justifying it a little since she’ll have her own space to sit and she is very good and quiet when given an iPad. It’s not given constantly so it’s like a special thing to get it and it keeps her attention for longer periods.

Just curious if I should give it a try or if it would absolutely just ruin everyone’s workout like that thread was suggesting. Honest thoughts?

EDIT: Thank you guys for all the input. You’ve inspired me. I’m gonna give it a shot! I’ve heard about gyms that have childcare where there’s somebody supervising them but this is different. Just a room but I’d still be the one to keep an eye and ear out for her, so that’s why I worried about it. But thank you guys for the supportive feedback :)
