Should I buy and play Final Fantasy 16

Hey everyone I joined in this community because I needed opinions from people who have played these games before. Currently final fantasy 16 is on sale on steam and it’s been a game I’ve wanted to play but I don’t know if it’s worth it because I have never played a final fantasy game before. So is it a good game if I have never played before and would I need to play others to understand the story? I also wanna ask would it be worth more to buy the standard or complete edition?
