do people even like edh?

Almost every time I play a game of edh I see people getting upset about an specific card, specific strategy, their creatures getting removed and it seems rediculous how much of the game this playerbase seems to dislike to the point where I wonder why do they even play the game?

I get that people want to execute their gameplan and cool synergies, but interacting with people and fighthing over boardstate is part of the fun, why are we playing a game with 3 other people if you can't deal with the fact that they might have counters, stax, removal, combos and building a deck that can deal with that is part of the game.

I love this format but the more I play the more I dislike "the commander spirit" of handicapping yourself beacuse people dosen't like half of mtg's cads.

I've got into the game by playing edh but lately I've been playing pauper lately and I have to say the salt there is much less and you can play without fearing your counterspell will ruin someone's fun for the rest of the day.

Sorry for the rant, I love this format and how much diversity it brings to the table, I've just been frustrated with it's playerbase lately.
