What's the Point of Degesu?

Ok, I know there are 7 episodes left and a lot could happen, but 13 episodes has passed and Degesu hasn't done anything impressive so far. Dr. Arinsu, Neva, and Gomah all have major impact on the plot with Gomah wishing for the Z fighters to be turned into children, Arinsu manipulating Gomah into making the wish and plotting to take over the the throne by collecting the Dragon Balls and creating the two Buus. Neva on the other hand is the creator of the Demon Dragon Ball and has also played in the role in helping the Z fighters into children. He's a major key player since without him, the Z fighters can't make their wish because they don't speak the Namek language.

Then there's Degesu. Shin described him as very ambitious person which is probably alluding to something, but so far it doesn't seem like he has much going for him. We know he has a wish of his own which probably the closest thing we know about his goal if he turns out to be the final villan, but it's hard to tell what it is. It's obviously not the third eyes because he didn't show any sign of objection when Gomah mentioned he was going to wish for the third eyes as his second wish. Maybe he wishes for the glind tree to be restored?? I also don't think he's planning on taking over the throne since he seems to be pretty shocked when finding out Arinsu's treachery and like I've said before, he didn't have any objection to Gomah's taking the third eyes which would make him the most powerful person in the demon realm.

Soooo what is up with Degesu? Does Toriyama have something big planned for him or he is just going to be a fodder?
