Weaponize Hair

Imagine a druid with thick, long, braided hair. At the end of the braids, the druid has woven her hair into blades, turning her hair into a bladed cat-o-nine-tails whip. They could be the size of arrow heads or even as large as punching daggers depending on how long and thick the braided hair is.

Now if this were going to be an NPC, I could just take the medusa's stat block, rather than snake hair, call it bladed hair or whatever, increase the reach while allowing the hair a full multiattack.

Unfortunately I've been thinking about making this character a PC and that complicates things.

Are there any spells or abilities that could be used for the druid to manipulate her hair for such attacks?

Non-druid suggestions would also be welcome.
