How can I keep playing without spending another 800$

I started playing dnd (for the first time in 20 years) during the lock down with some of my closest friends. All of my resources are DnD Beyond. We play on dnd Beyond and have for the last 3 years.

If I cancel my sub I lose all of my home brew, all of my prepped fights, and all of the digital books that I’ve purchased to give my players a great game.

If I cancel my sub and move to another vtt, wouldn’t I just be paying Wotc again (but now through an intermediary?) we can’t play in person (all over the country). Is there something I’m missing? Is there an answer someone has besides tough luck you’re stuck?

Thank you for any advice and guidance for the Beyond exodus.

EDIT:

Thank you all for your thoughtful responses.

Be careful with your suggestions as some people have messaged me informing me they were banned for violations that some would consider borderline, so err on the side of caution!

1) Thank you all for informing me of how Beyond handles purchases post sub, it made me breathe easier

2) Thank you for showing me options for importing/ reassign information I have purchased into other vtts like foundry and r20 without giving more money to WotC/Hasbro

3) Thank you for responding to all, it so nice to see a community so committed to the hobby.

4) I’m happy they are reevaluating the ogl announcement but will still be working towards removing my trust from DDB.
