How do I get rid of (fruit) flies permanently

Hi! I keep a very clean and tidy home. People get unnerved with how clean it is, and I get compliments about it all the time. HOWEVER, I’m plagued with fruit flies! Those tiny, black ones. I’ve tried a lot of things to get rid of them, but they seem to just appear from thin air.

What I’ve tried?

• the classic vinegar and dish soap juice
• cleaned every surface myself (needless to say, multiple times) with disinfectant
• stopped buying fruit 😭💔
• got a professional cleaner in
• aired out and cross-ventilated
• experimented with not ventilating at all
• used bug spray multiple times. They return within 3 business days

I had a cleaner last Saturday and thoroughly cleaned again myself on Monday. They were back as soon as Wednesday, as if they sprung from thin air. I’m really sick of it! When I take meetings from home, I’m forever waving them away or clapping at them 😭. They’re everywhere—parlour, dining room, kitchen, toilet, bathroom, even my bedroom where I don’t take any food into. I’m now physically revulsed by the mere thought, sight, or feel of them and want them permanently gone. Help!
