Deposit cash got a call $100 was counterfeit

I recently deposited $2,000 at my local bank. Shortly afterward, I received a call claiming that $100 of the amount was counterfeit. When I returned to the bank, I asked several questions: 1. How do you confirm this bill is part of my deposit? 2. How can I be sure the counterfeit bill wasn’t misplaced or swapped after I left? 3. Aren’t counterfeit cash supposed to be conducted before the transaction is finalized and I leave the branch?

I requested to review the camera footage and explained that I brought the money rolled and secured in a wipe. The bank claimed they identified the counterfeit after the money had dried as she had put them in the drawer. I refused to sign any acknowledgment accepting the counterfeit bill as mine.

What next steps I can take?
