Lets put into perspective how many top 10 heavyweights 2013-2025 Fury missed out on, why is Fury made out to be some h2h nightmare to this day ? He's overrated
Fighters that cycled through the top 10
Wladimir Klitschko
Ruslan Chagaev
Deontay Wilder
Kubrat Pulev
Bryant Jennings
Luis Ortiz
Anthony Joshua
Joseph Parker
Dillian Whyte
Andy Ruiz Jr
Filip Hrgovic
Michael Hunter
Frank Sanchez
Oleksandr Usyk
Joe Joyce
Zhilei Zhang
Agit Kabayel
Efe Ajagba
Not only has Fury beaten a mere 4 ranked opponents in the entire era !!!!! but he's struggled more than he should have. Instead of fighting any of those ranked opponents when he had the ample time, the man took on Wallin who nobody knew at the time and wasn't ranked, a random bum by the name of Tom Schwartz who also wasn't ranked, a shopworn Chisora in a TRILOGY, signed to fight a 37 year old UFC fighter on his debut, got dropped and barely scraped by. This is a massive asterisk lol
Had Fury actually had an stacked resume or fought everyone like Usyk i wouldn't be trying to bring up his lowlights with low level opposition but he doesn't and didn't. He beat Klitschko 8-4 outlanding him by a few punches, very impressive win for Tyson but never rematched him when Klitschko wanted that rematch more than anything. Wilder was a good win, but who did he beat ? Best win is ancient Ortiz and Wilder got extra time from the ref, Kabayel straight up has a better resume than Deontay Wilder, he just never won a title. Clearly Fury is a very good fighter, but the hype drove me mad
Why was Fury so overrated ? Size ??? Please give me a proper explanation.
