Documenting the beginning, very funny getting excited about a new hobby where patience is the key lol

Mom gifted me this guy, some liquid fertilizer, and a little book about intro to bonsai for Christmas. found out he’s a ming aralia (Polyscias fruticosa) So far all I know is don’t let the cat eat it, get him a soil that drains well, and don’t overprune or overwater.

Tons more reading to do, I think this guy has potential, so I’ve got to start thinking of names. If anyone has a similar tree feel free to send a message!
