How scary are Bioshock games?

I'm keeping all the three games ready on my PC and will soon play them, and although I like horror on paper I really hate playing or watching anything related to horror (especially at night which is usually the time I can have the opportunity to play something) And while I love the general aesthetic of the Bioshock games, I don't know if I have the heart to play them by myself.

So long story short, how scary are the games? And I'm kinda, slightly fine with horror so long as there are no jumpscares or cheap tricks.
