Who else is a dedicated "host"?

Does your store even have one? What other responsibilities beyond greeting and queuing had your host been assigned?

Apparently, the post is supposed to be filled by leadership, but I'm just an advisor and have been doing only host for a long time. It seems a lot of people hate doing it, and it's certainly thankless. No recognition, no accolades, no metrics involved. In not complaining, though. I really do enjoy it and I'm good at what I do. I've even added a few other things to the role that other people weren't doing but needed to be done.
