Kingdom colours in bannerlord

I’m on another save game for bannerlord, however after meeting the prerequisites to start my own kingdom the colours do not change from that of the previous kingdom I joined (southern empire). From what I recall the colours should revert to your proverbial one. Has this changed or is it a bug
