Some thoughts and theories
I have been thinking about Eywa and the role it plays and will play in the franchise.
So, as far as my understanding goes, Eywa is basically the whole interconnected planet. I like to imagine it as a sort of giant mycellium that connects everything, flora thorugh roots and fauna through their kurus.
Eywa also has the capacity to hold the memories and thoughts of every being that lives on Pandora. Therefore, as we've seen in the comics, the Na'vi can "speak to the dead", not actually speaking to a dead Na'vi, but just to their memories that were stored in Eywa.
At this point I started wondering, couldn't Quaritch and his recomb squad just connect to Eywa through tsaheylu to find out where High camp was? Or to discover where the Sully family was hiding?
We know Na'vi can get these kind of information through Eywa as in Frontiers of Pandora>! Mokasa avoided connecting to Eywa for years to hide the fact he had sold out the Sarentu to Mercer, causing their massacre. This means that just by connecting to Eywa he would've uploaded all his memories and they would've been accessible to all Na'vi. To reinforce this, when Anufi banishes him and forbids him from ever connecting to Eywa again, she says something along the lines of "if you do, everyone will know". !<
So, going back to my initial doubt, why didn't the recombs just use Eywa to find Jake and his family?
Also, speaking of Eywa, we know she has the ability to connect to humans as well, in the same way Na'vi do. We see it during the healing ceremony when Mo'at tries to switch Grace's consciousness from her human body to her Avatar, and those tendrils just penetrate her nape and connect to her human brain.
So, going off the leaks of Spider being able to breath Pandora's air and possibly growing a kuru, will he connect to Eywa in a way similar to Grace and perhaps this will change his biology and body? What would be the reason for this? Is Kiri, with her powers, gonna have a role in it?
I might be reading too much into everything, but I find it fun to theorize and wonder.
