Have a regular therapist that diagnosed me early on with General Anxiety Disorder. After reading up on ADHD I was suspecting I had it since I was kid and was undiagnosed. GF encouraged I get a second opinion and was diagnosed with it, but it feels like regular therapist doesn't believe it.

So I have had a regular therapist for several years and was diagnosed with General Anxiety Disorder. However, when I started reading up on ADHD, talking with friends with it, how the CPT test can be inconclusive, etc. my gf encouraged I get a second opinion. I searched up specialists online and found one around my area. I filled out a questionnaire and went through a series of questions with the specialist and she was convinced that I have it, diagnosed me with ADHD, and put me on some anti-depressants to start with. They are really working on my anxiety, but I seriously still have concentration and motivation issues. The person that was my second opinion even encouraged I still see my regular therapist regularly, showing a sign that she's not trying to poach me for her own financial gain. I scheduled an appointment with my regular therapist and it was the first time seeing her after my diagnosis, however my regular therapist seemed unconvinced about my ADHD diagnosis from my second opinion. I can't tell if it's from hubris or what, but it came across like my regular therapist is dismissing the second opinion and that testing for ADHD takes more tests than what the specialist did with me (filled out a questionnaire and had an extensive interview). I trust my regular therapist on the anxiety issues, but I can't help but feel like my second opinion specialist is more right. I'm positive I've checked all the boxes while growing up - RSD, executive dysfunction, poor communication, constant noise in my head, easily distracted, fidgeting, stimming, out of sight out of mind piles of clutter, losing jobs due to either poor communication or being late all the time (time blindness). I guess my question is who do I believe?
