How does this print-in-place design work?

I’m mainly wondering how the stand sections print with no support. I’m wondering this because he shows the orientation he printed it in and there’s no connection between the the upper part of the controller stand and the part that holds it up/sets the angle. The upper part of the controller stand would have a 90 degree overhang on top of the part that moves and sets the angle. If anyone could break down this print it’d be appreciated. Thanks in advance from an interested engineer.
