The owner/manager/HR guy of my job doesn’t want to pay us hourly workers for the full length of a business trip, claiming bc it was “voluntary” we basically gave up any right to get paid. We were never told we wouldn’t be paid. These are the chats between my direct supervisor and then the manager. 🙃
