The antonyms of “survivor” are so terrible, this becomes more clear when thinking of a cancer survivor versus a person who dies from cancer. The latter should be called lost warriors.
The antonyms of “survivor” are pretty terrible. My friend is dying of cancer and yet she is not going to be a survivor but rather the opposite, but then what does that make her? I say “warrior” works better.
