Unable to search in Android youtube app anymore

There is still something that looks like a search icon in the top-left corner, albeit different than before. But when I click it, instead of a search bar I get a weird menu with: "Screenshot, GIG maker, Handwriting Calculator". How can I search in this youtube Android app?
