Should I lie to my audience and will that make them like my writing?

Do you think authors should be transparent about their usage of AI to assist their work?

I want to use AI to simply tie down my detailed ideas and chapter outlines into coherent writing.
When posting online, is it better to be sincere about it (i.e: adding a note at the start stating that the work was AI assisted and to not read if you disapprove of the practice.) or not mention it?

On one hand I find the prospect of having the audience refuse to even check out the work because of it scary, but so is the idea of being called out as a fraud if you don't outright reveal it from day one. What do you guys think?
