How does anyone write pace / rhythm
I've done it all. I have watched/read/bookmarked over a thousand writing tutorials, I have lurked in this subreddit for well over a year while furiously scraping notes on random advices, I have wasted two years of my highschool binging tvtropes, I have delved into fifty or so channels analysing writing, I have read a dozen books written in my mother's language and in english (at least 20ish full hardcover, not counting short stories, AO3, Wattpad, and manga/graphic novels), and I have created my worldbuilding up to minute detail, even a conlang because why the hell not, amirite?!
And yet... I still can't write a fucking page of my own story—literally the one I want to make since I was a drooling toddler. Why?
The rhythm. I couldn't care less for how dialogue flows or how much pronouns I use in my first draft, but if I carried on with such nauseating pace, it would be there on the second draft. It would be there on the third. It would be always there, a shitty foundation that I couldn't hide no matter how many florid language I'd shoved up its ass. Even NONE of my prompts ever gets finished!! The ones supposed to be only exercise!! Either I drag a scene like I'm fucking Achilles or I can't find a resting place just to end the story. All the advice I read, I can't wrap my head around them. I don't even know anymore.
