Gifting Gothic 2 to a 14 year old

So I am thinking about gifting Gothic 2 to my 14 yo nephew. Just as a side gift. I am aware that the people who play this game are now probably in their mid thirties or older. Do you guys think the new generation of gamers will give it a try? Are there any younger players of this game at all? And if this game has too many hurdles for teens of today, can you think of any alternatives? (The Witcher will be too bloody and adulty..) Happy hollydays to you nerds!

Edit: Okay thank you, I will just spend the 2,50€ and we will see if it catches him :)
