does everyone think their friends look like VS models?

for context my best friend and i were catching up over cocktails. we told each other about our upcoming social plans and i told her that my housemate and i are going out after new years. she was intrigued because she didn’t know my housemate and i are on that level to be hanging out privately. she asked for a description of what she looked like and i honestly had no idea how to describe her without seeming like a total b*tch. i think she’s a kind hearted, genuine and FUN person to be around but ive never paid too much attention to how she looks because its rlly not that important to me ?? i guess she is a little plain looking BUT I SEE NOTHING WRONG WITH THAT. it does not make me like her any less she has so many amazing qualities about her why should i care about how she looks on the surface ? anyways my best friend made me feel bad for not thinking she’s a “baddie” but my question is, why has society conditioned us as women to value aesthetics in each other? i love and appreciate ALL my friends for who they are and not what they look like. am i a mean girl for not thinking that all my friends look like supermodels ?
