Should I read Romance of the Three Kingdoms before playing Wo Long Fallen Dynasty?

I grew up in Australia and unfortunately have had very little exposure to Chinese history, mythology and stories.

I recently played the game Sifu which has ignited a massive interest for me in all things Chinese fantasy and history. I’m currently in the process of reading Journey to the West before I play Black Myth Wukong.

I was wondering, would you all say that it’s a good idea or that it enriches the play experience of Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty to be familiar with the Three Kingdoms period and the Romance of the Three Kingdoms story?
