Queue report, day 5, 2024
Arrived at car park at 4.30am. Gates were closed and advertised opening time is 6am but they opened it for us anyway (phew).
4.35pm: Arrive in queue, got number 1,500. Starts to rain shortly gets heavier
8.15pm: Our section of queue starts to move. Very heavy rain at this point, feeling pretty grim.
9.30am: Offered Court 2 wristbands but forecast is terrible so we pass.
10.15am: Arrive at ticket booth to buy ground passes, we figure now we're here we might as well take a half on seeing a few hours play. I make a random comment about the diagram of Centre Court tickets left out on the desk and they say they have CC tickets but didn't think to offer them as "we didn't ask"!!! £95 restricted view, four seats together! They also have a stack of single tickets from returns, they evidently just arrived.
Lesson learned?
