What is Glinda's ending in Gregory Maguire's story?

Hi Wicked Fans, so a week ago I watched the movie and since I couldn't wait for the second part I watched the musical, I had to watch it twice to appreciate it properly and the last one I was in TEARS, I think we all understand Glinda's character and regardless of whether be liked it or not, I'm really intrigued to know what her ending was in the novel and if this could be something included later in the movie. I don't really plan on reading the novels since it's not the style I like so I would appreciate the spoiler
