Are Jeep gladiator/wranglers really that run reliable?
I currently have a Honda Ridgeline that I really do like the ride quality but it's transmission is starting to give me some trouble. I've been looking to trade it in and I thought about getting another newer AWD version with the newer transmissions that are more reliable. The AWD version of the Ridgeline also can tow 5000lbs. We live in the middle of no where down a dirt road that often washes out. This last year it has happened twice where I couldn't get out in my Ridgeline. Another thing I need to consider is my kids have started go get into pig and goat showing the last few years. So I do have to tow small trailers every once in a while. I'm really liking the idea of a gladiator with the max tow package which would get it to a towing capacity of 7700lbs. I hesitate though because I feel like every time I mention a gladiator people immediately are like oh no don't get a jeep they aren't reliable. It wouldn't worry me so much but I feel like I hear it from mechanics too. What do you all think on here? Should I just stick with another Ridgeline or go for the gladiator. I do prefer a midsize truck. I have two 5 years old twin boys so the back seat space in the Ridgeline is pretty decent and the mpgs are nice. But you can take the doors and roof off a gladiator! Thanks for your in put.
