Alterations muck up? Or difficult bride?

I bought a gorgeous wedding dress from a store, for $4K, which was already $1K over my budget. But I absolutely loved it. I was told alterations (as my bust is big, but my waist is small) would be maximum $1K and I was sent to their direct alterations company.

I had an alterations fitting, (waist brought in, apparently I needed the waist moved up, some of the train off, shoulders tightened, cups moved). Quoted $2K in alterations.

I'm 7 days out from the wedding, go to pick up my dress. The buttons (which are my favourite part) are slightly wonky. I wanted lots of back photos of this beautiful detail of the dress, so wasn't too happy with that.

I've taken it back three times, they're struggling to make them straight. I'm no seamstress, but looking at it, I think they may have buggered up the cut of the zip slightly, so the line isn't straight? Meaning it's impossible to make the buttons straight.

What do you think? I'm not a fussy person usually but I'm $6K deep at this point, I just want my dream dress to be how I want it! Btw the rest of the alterations are great.
