Am I the only one absolutely fucking furious about Wawa in Georgetown closing?

Like, what the actual fuck? I'm literally crying and shaking just hearing this news outs a knot in my stomach 😢 😭 rightnowwwww That place was a goddamn lifeline! Every time I was biking home or to work, it was my go-to spot for a cheap-ass drink or some decent food that didn’t completely wreck my wallet. And biking up Wisconsin Avenue? That hill is hell, but Wawa made it worth it. Now it’s gone, just like that? What the fuck is wrong with this city?

Wawa was the only place in Georgetown that didn’t feel like it was ripping me off. Not all of us have $400 to blow at some pretentious high-fashion boutique or $25 for a kale smoothie. Some of us just want a $7 hoagie and a $2 coffee so we can keep moving through our day without starving or going broke. It was a place for real people, not just rich assholes looking for overpriced nonsense. And now they’ve taken even that away. How the fuck are we supposed to get by when the only affordable, reliable spot in the neighborhood is gone?

First, they took Thaiphoon, the best damn restaurant in the city, and now Wawa? What’s next? Is everything going to be replaced with overpriced garbage no one actually needs? I’m so fucking sick of this city steamrolling over everything that matters to the people who actually live here.

This isn’t just a store closing it’s a slap in the face to everyone who relied on Wawa to get through their day. I’m done. Fuck this. What the actual fuck are we supposed to do now?
