Occasional Flickering on all wallpapers

My entire monitor flickers every 30 seconds or so, typically going for a few seconds then stopping. It occurs in the wallpaper engine UI and on desktop, but stops on desktop if I pause the wallpaper. As of now, I have tried turning off hardware acceleration in both UI and desktop, my monitor is an Asus VG32VQ. Any advice or known solutions?
