Stunned Opponent

I’m sorry but how is it when you have an opponent stunned they’re able to swap between blocking their body and head as if they have 6 hands to block. And their stunned state lasts maybe 3 seconds. But when you’re stunned, they swarm you and you have to cover up for 10+ seconds?
