Why do people hate us lol

Genuine question.

I understand why people hate bankers but why are lawyers up there too?

What have we done to deserve such stereotypical smearing 🥲

It seems like most media wants to portray lawyers as coldhearted money grabbing wotsits. We literally just do what we are told by the client. On top of that, our industry literally has a code of ethics. How many other industries have codes of ethics?

I just wonder where on earth it comes from
