Worried about weight gain on hrt
I might be starting testosterone soon and I am worried about gaining weight. I am already a bit bigger than I want to be (i am not overweight I just am not happy with where I’m at currently is all, I just want to feel confident in my own body) what are the chances i will gain weight and what can i do to avoid it? My family tends to have high metabolism and i did when i was younger, however during puberty my brother gained weight that eventually went away, and I’m guessing me being on t will be similar to his experience going through puberty. Should i expect to gain weight and it go away after some time? Things i am trying to do to “stay fit” is trying to eat more protein and less greasy foods, and im thinking about working out regularly (i want a gym buddy but dk if i can find one) is there any other advice I can get? Also to be clear there is nothing wrong with weight gain in general its just not something i want for myself. (My pronouns are they/he)
