I finally understand the whole AJ thing

The Sopranos sub is one of the first things I read when I first started looking at Reddit, and when people brought up AJ, I couldn't understand how anybody could see him as anything other than a lazy, insufferable little shit that is constantly bitching and moaning and wanting everything to be given to him without putting in any effort himself.

Most of the people on this sub were saying some form of "AJ represents how we all were" or "He couldn't help it, it's not his fault." "People that don't like him just don't like themselves because that's how we all are."

I was thinking: What thr Hell?!? I've never known ANYBODY like that kid, let alone everybody.

Now after looking through Reddit for a couple years though, I understand it. The cobwebs are now removed.

This is just Reddit. Reddit has its own culture, separate from any type of reality, and most are just a bunch of AJs.

Is that what's going on?
