Am i the only one who geniuenly doesn't understand the Sniper hate?

Seriously,it seems to me that a lot of people seemingly don't know that a sniper rifle is usually used for long range,quick kills to the head. Like,a shit ton of times i see someone go "Sniper too op nerf please",and then think to myself "Well,a sniper is supposed to headshot,wich is in a lot of cases an instant kill,so no shit you got insta-killed". By that logic Spy should also be one of the most hated classes,since he can one shot too
