Stephen A. Smith got his Christmas present from Jethro Jerry Jones
During the day Friday, ESPN persona Smith said that if Jethro Jerry promoted Brian Schottenheimer from OC to head coach, it would be like an immediate Christmas present.
And, Jethro Jerry just did that.
In Jones' era as owner, the only other Cowboys head coach to be hired without head coaching experience was Dave Campo, who posted a 15-33 record from 2000 to 2002. Jason Garrett served as the interim head coach in 2010 before landing the full-time job in 2011. He lasted until 2019.
The only thing that could make this even better would be if the Commodes beat the Iggles to go to the Super Bowl.
Sure, the Iggles, and Gints, have both been there, and won, since Dallas' last trip. Different thing. They're not the Commodes, aka the temporary What a Fricking Team, aka the Redscum (not a justification of the old name).
