Quick question to those who are knowledgeable

I executed a series of tests on my laptop, commencing with a one-handed lift from the right side, fingers positioned beneath and above. Application of slight pressure to the bottom, near the RAM compartment, resulted in an unexpected shutdown and subsequent restart.

Replicating this action, I observed another shutdown and restart. Upon further experimentation, involving increased pressure and slight flexure of the laptop's chassis, the display exhibited multicolored stripes and emitted electronic glitch noises reminiscent of dial-up internet tones, followed by system freezing.

A hard reset was performed, and subsequent pressure applications to the aforementioned area, even with significantly increased force and chassis bending, did not induce further shutdowns. Repeated pressure applications over the course of 20 mins, still did not restart the laptop. This sequence of events occurred a week after the installation of additional RAM. What could be the underlying cause?

Happened with the charger plugged in, and not plugged in
