Recent Interview - Good discussions and hints of their FUTURE PLANS

Not sure if this was posted previously, but here is a VERY GOOD recent interview (Dec. 2024) with Curt and Roland.

The interviewer, IMO, is not great, and dwells too long on stuff like "the Beatles influence," and although he says he loves the four new songs, his comments suggest he doesn't really know them. BUT...

I have NOT heard the guys this CANDID, and WILLING to impart this much information, for a long time. They talk in depth about recording The Hurting and Big Chair, and for any true fan, you will find it absolutely fascinating. There is even a bit on Curt's "bad boy" reputation at the outset...

They talk about finding a "new generation" of fans and really establishing a reputation as a "live band" in the past decade or so, which seems to have pleasantly surprised them. Curt speculates that the younger fans (18-25, simply related to the subject matter of the Hurting, even if musical styles have changed a lot in 40 years).

Curt talks about a recent dinner where Simon LeBon says to him, "we never really knew what to make of you guys..." That was a theme Curt and Roland spoke to at length, the fact they defy a simple label.

And, what you've been waiting for... they hint at "more to come." Roland says he believes they "still have one more album in them," and that it will be more "experimental."

Well worth the listen.
